My Role: Senior Graphic Designer – IMTS Brand Lead
Organization: AMT – The Association For Manufacturing Technology
IMTS is the largest manufacturing technology trade show in the Western Hemisphere. In 2026, it drew 91,295 registrants and 1,788 exhibitors to 1.18 million square feet of McCormick Place. Since AMT brought the show’s marketing in-house in 2022, I’ve led the design direction for its campaigns. I carry each one from first concept through advertising, social, hall banners, Grand Concourse graphics, booth graphics, apparel, and vehicle wraps.
Every show is a new problem. The brand resets every two cycles to stay fresh and reflect where manufacturing is headed, but everything still has to read as IMTS on a show floor full of competing brands.
2022: Find @ IMTS
This was the first year all IMTS marketing was produced in-house, with no agency system to inherit. I kept the compositions simple and bold, spotlighting the people and technologies behind the industry. The campaign won NYX Gold for event marketing.
2024: We Are IMTS
Building on 2022, I wanted the people and the technology to tell a single story rather than sit side by side. I pushed for richer layering, gradients, and more dynamic compositions to merge the two. The campaign earned the Gold 100 Marketing Genius Award, which recognizes the top marketing campaign among major United States trade shows, and a Hermes Platinum award for integrated marketing.
2026: Six Days…
This was a reset year. The refined identity pays tribute to Chicago, the show’s longtime home, and introduces gold highlights to position IMTS as the gold standard of manufacturing trade shows. The goal was boldness with elegance, keeping the focus on what IMTS does best: telling its exhibitors’ stories.
